From a Vision to a Trusted Name in Medical Care
Berkay Metin – Co-Founder of Wellora Medical
I was born on August 26, 1996, in Bursa, Turkey. In 2018, I graduated from Marmara University’s Faculty of Law. A year later, I became a licensed attorney and started working in Turkey. During this time, I helped clients from different industries, including health tourism. I saw how many people from other countries came to Turkey for medical treatments and how they struggled to find the right care.
In 2021, I moved to Canada. First, I studied English at Georgian College, then continued my legal studies at the University of Toronto. While living there, I met many Canadians who were interested in Turkey’s healthcare system. They often asked me about treatments, hospitals, and how to arrange medical care in Turkey. The more people asked, the more I realized that Turkey had a strong reputation for high-quality and affordable healthcare, but many people didn’t know who to trust or where to start.
I also noticed that most companies offering medical tourism services treated patients like numbers. They provided basic packages with little personal guidance. Many people told me they didn’t want a standard service where they felt lost or ignored. Instead, they wanted someone to listen to them, understand their concerns, and guide them step by step. They needed clear information, direct communication, and a service that focused on their needs.
That’s why I co-founded Wellora Medical. My goal was to create a company that doesn’t just organize medical trips but actually supports and guides people through the process. We don’t just book treatments—we take the time to understand each patient, answer their questions, and make sure they feel confident in their choices. We offer a more personal and direct experience, where patients can communicate with real people who care about their journey.
